Join Me To Optimise Your Mental Health
Using Metabolic Magic

12 Weeks of Structured Guidance + Lifetime Community & Support

A step-by-step online 12 week program teaching the principles of metabolic psychiatry, ketogenic nutrition, sleep, light, stress regulation and mitochondrial health for people who want to try an alternative approach and gain a deeper understanding of mental wellbeing.

What if good Mental Health is also  about optimal brain energy?

If you’ve struggled with low mood, anxiety, exhaustion, brain fog, overwhelm, emotional instability or burnout, you may have been told your symptoms are simply a “chemical imbalance”, or that you just need to cope better, think differently, or try harder. â€‹But what if part of the problem lies deeper within the biology of how the brain produces and regulates energy?

Your brain is one of the most energy-demanding organs in the body. Every thought, emotion, memory, motivation signal and stress response depends on the brain’s ability to create and use energy efficiently.

Modern life can place enormous pressure on these systems.

Poor sleep. Chronic stress. Ultra-processed foods. Blood sugar instability. Inflammation. Circadian disruption. Sedentary lifestyles. Social isolation, trauma and stress. Nutrient deficiencies. â€‹Over time, these factors may contribute to metabolic dysfunction, affecting mitochondria, insulin sensitivity, inflammation and the brain’s ability to function optimally.

Emerging research in metabolic psychiatry is now exploring how these processes may influence conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and other mental health challenges. â€‹Life experiences, trauma, relationships, meaning, environment and psychology all matter deeply. We are starting to discover that this might be because they also impact mitochondrial function. Metabolism and brain energy may be one important piece of the puzzle that has been missing from many conversations about mental wellbeing.

And when we begin supporting the brain through nutrition, sleep, light exposure, stress regulation, movement and metabolic health, some people experience profound shifts in mood, resilience, clarity, energy and quality of life. â€‹That is what this program is designed to help you explore.

Join Me on My Carnivore Challenge

I eat a meat based diet 100% of the time. I cycle through periods of being 100% strict carnivore and periods where I eat a few more plants. So I might have a handful of berries after my steak or I might eat a home grown leek or courgette with my stew. I have been low carb for many years, keto for 5-years and animal based keto for the last year.

I decided to go 100% strict carnivore to resolve a couple of very annoying symptoms that started after I had a nasty virus and to try and improve the management of my Hashimoto's thyroiditis. My energy levels remain high and I felt the best I had since before the virus and my Hashimoto's went into remission within a few weeks. Since then I have worked with many clients trying a carnivore approach to resolve all kinds of health issues from inflammatory bowel, to mental health and autoimmune problems. I can give you tips on everything from cooking, shopping, travelling or socialising and help you navigate any potentially tricky situations along the way.

Why Do This With Me?

For a start I myself put chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, derealisation and depersonalisation into remission. I did using the same tools that I will teach you. I have personally eaten a ketogenic diet for 7 years plus and used a variety of other lifestyle strategies to improve my metabolic mental health. I am also a BANT registered Nutritional Therapist & UKIHCA health coach and have helped hundreds of clients use these strategies successfully.

I wrote the book Mood, Mind & Mitochondria to get the word out to more people about how psychiatry has a new tool in the box which can changes lives and perhaps even save lives. I simply want more people to be empowered to try this approach for themselves to see if it makes a difference for them.

This program offers a more cost effective way to access professional support for those who can't afford to work one:one or who simply prefer to be part of a wider supportive community all with the same aims. I want you to have the same chance of recovery as I had.

Common Questions

“Do I need to follow a strict ketogenic diet?”

No. While ketogenic nutrition is one of the approaches explored in this programme, there is no expectation that you must be perfect or rigid.

Instead, you will learn:

  • how ketones and metabolic flexibility relate to brain energy

  • how to gradually experiment with carbohydrate reduction

  • how to adapt the approach to your individual needs and preferences

  • The different ketogenic ratios that maybe appropriate

"What if I’m already exhausted or struggling with motivation?”

This programme is designed with that in mind. Many people who join are dealing with fatigue, burnout, low mood or emotional overwhelm. You do not need high energy or motivation to begin. The programme is structured so you can move at your own pace, revisit content when needed, and lean on the community and live support when things feel difficult.

“Is this suitable if I’m taking medication or have a diagnosed mental health condition?”

Yes, but with important context. This programme is educational and lifestyle-based. It is not a replacement for medical care or prescribed treatment.

Many participants may be:

  • taking antidepressants, mood stabilisers or other medications

  • living with diagnoses such as depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder

  •

Nothing in this programme should be used to change or stop medication without appropriate medical supervision. Instead, the aim is to provide additional tools and understanding that may support overall wellbeing alongside your existing care.

“I’ve tried diets before and nothing has worked. How is this different?”

That experience is very common.

Many approaches fail because they focus only on short-term restriction without addressing:

  • metabolic health

  • sleep and circadian rhythms

  • stress physiology

  • nervous system regulation

  • long-term sustainability

  • support and accountability

This programme is different because it combines education, implementation, and ongoing support within a structured framework — rather than leaving you to figure it out alone.

“What if I can’t stick to it?”

You are not expected to be perfect. Most people trying this approach for the first time will have challenges.

This program is designed around real life, not ideal conditions. You will learn flexible principles rather than rigid rules, and you’ll have access to ongoing support so you can adjust, troubleshoot and continue even when things don’t go to plan. Progress matters more than perfection.

“How quickly will I notice changes?”

This varies significantly from person to person.

Some people notice early changes in:

  • energy

  • appetite regulation

  • sleep quality

  • mental clarity

Others experience more gradual shifts over time as metabolic and lifestyle changes accumulate.

The goal of this programme is not quick fixes, but sustainable improvements in how you understand and support your brain and body.

“What if I don’t know how to cook or I’m overwhelmed by food changes?”

Everything is taught step-by-step.

You will be given:

  • simple meal ideas

  • practical guidance

  • examples of what to eat

  • adaptations for different lifestyles

The aim is to make implementation realistic, even if you are starting from a very simple baseline.

“Is this a cure for mental health conditions?”

No. This programme does not offer cures or guaranteed outcomes.

Mental health is complex and influenced by many factors including biology, psychology, environment and lived experience. This program offers an educational and supportive framework to help you explore metabolic and lifestyle approaches that may support wellbeing.

“Is it suitable for vegetarians or vegans?”

It is more difficult to do a vegetarian ketogenic diet but with the right support it can be done. This is because vegetarian sources of protein like legumes are carbohydrate rich so can't be consumed on a ketogenic diet. The program promotes animal foods as the most nutrient dense for brain health. If you can incorporate eggs and dairy into your diet it makes it much easier and more likely to be successful. Vegan ketogenic diets are not supported.

A Final Note...

You do not need to have everything figured out before joining. This program is designed to help you build understanding and skills over time, with structure, support and community available throughout the journey. It is really all about helping you figure out the right approach for you.

For Too Long We Have Separated The Brain From the Body

Your brain is affected by metabolic health just as much, if not more, than your body. If we can reset brain energy by improving our metabolism and mitochondrial function, we create the right conditions for healing and resilience. Food is a power medicine or a metabolic poision. Given the right prescription so that food nourishes us, in conjunction with sufficient sleep and stress regulation, science tells us that we can optimise our mental health. Why don't you give it a go?
